Tyler Ontiveros was raised in the Coachella Valley and has always had an artistic eye. One to dive into new artistic outlets and mediums with confidence and curiosity, he’s pushing his unique abilities daily. Recently branching out from musical performance, he quickly became a recognized muralist by the city of Palm Desert on his first attempt. Eager to make his mark as a local artist, he jumped on the opportunity to spearhead a mural in collaboration with his partner Kellie Denise, who is an established local artist herself, with works of art in Cathedral City-city hall, the Ofelia Bringas Bridge and now Palm Desert city hall. The 50th anniversary mural was also in collaboration with the community as the local youth and parents helped contribute in the completion of the commemorative mural. Excited to push the limits of his creative abilities, soon enough, his style and personal artistic stamp will evolve into something unforgettable and recognizable. He will be expanding to sculptures and interactive and fully immersive installations.
I’m eager to explore my creativity and get out of my comfort zone to really test my limits as an artist. The art I produce will speak to many and sometimes say nothing at all. I create art for me and if it resonates with you, it’s meant for you. I want to inspire other artists to be confident in their creations. I’d like to send the message that art is for all, and not just a select few. The world and the people in it are meant to experience beauty. Wether they create beauty, observe beauty or embody beauty. Beauty is everywhere as long as you look for it.
